This made me very emotional, feeling sad for the couple, their loss. You paint such vivid images with your descriptions. I can feel what you describe. I loved the question mark and the bones calling out to another. Sublime writing. 🙏
What a fascinating and unique story! I loved the part about bones calling for each others, and the descriptions are beautiful. I look forward to your next one!
A great story that highlights how there are mysteries to how our bodies work and how some aches, spasms, and twitches don't always have physiological explanations. It also reminded me of a time I had a dream I was playing soccer for some reason, something I don't do in real life, and in the dream I swooped in to kick the ball away from an opponent, and in real life I kicked the wall so hard that I walked with a limp for a few weeks.
the first line grabbed me and never let go. Wonderful, emotional work
Thank you, Will.
Oh wow. This is so heart-breakingly beautiful.

PS: Love the image!
Love your story.
This relationship bloomed and when it became too stagnant for her, the shift occurred.
Painful. A lack of motion for her.
The sickness he felt before, alleviated and returned, as she left.
The healing seemed perfect, but perhaps the writer and the runner sensed the ending.
A year, a turning, a completion.
The writer writes. The runner runs.
A love story.
An ending.
this is brilliant. I'm both devastated by the story and consumed by the intimacy. truly a beautiful piece
Thank you, so very kind 😊
Awesome story! I love how real this felt.

I liked the question mark and the answer. I could visualize the bodies' alignments, feel the accompanying peace.
Also saw a pattern here. A loop. People returning to a former behavior. Don't we all do it?
Great story, Chris.
Thank you, Jean!
